Good Day All Readers: As we all know we are living in troubled times. Crime and abuse make headlines every day on TV and your Local News Paper. How that effects us depends on were you live and your involvement with the general public. When you add being Disable to the pitcher you are more likely to be a target of crime or abuse. I am living with Lou Gehrig’s Disease since 2005 and find myself living with a fear of others. With no real way to defend myself against being a victim of crime, I looked for ways to protect myself. First is to not put yourself in a place where you can escape from, stay with others. A criminal looks for a person that wont fight back. You MUST use your head first. Is he there just to rob you or is he possibly going to abduct you or worst yet kill you. I don’t carry a wallet since I am wheel chair bound so robing me will get him nothing. What I’m saying is give him what it takes to save your LIFE. I am slowly dying from the effects of my Lou Gehrig’s Disease but my will to live is very strong. I would choose to give him what he asked for, but nothing more. I would never go willingly with him. How would YOU protect yourself? What are your options? There is no shame for screaming like a little girl. If it works to buy you time do it. I can not hold or shoot a gun anymore, so for me thats not a possible choice. Your choice may be like mine. I made the choice to go with a pepper spray and a stun gun. Mine came from CROOK BUSTERS, these people are real caring people. Since I can not work and our income is only my Disability income, I truly had a problem. I wrote to several different business’s that carry both the PEPPER SPRAY and STUN GUN explaining my needs and the lack of money. Mr GARY MOTE and ERICA MOTE were the only people that choose to get back in touch with me. I would like to share that email with you and see how people use to act with a future customer.
Hello Mr. Gary: I am disabled due to Lou Gehrig’s Disease and finding help is so hard. My inability to protect myself lead me to start asking business’ for help and support. Web sites on the INTERNET for the disabled are truly hard to find. YES you can find a ton of OUT-DATE-INFORMATION, or Places that are Moved or no longer there, How about those not within the USA. The list goes on. How I found CROOK BUSTERS was from the INTERNET and by chance Mr, GARY saw that my need was a REAL one. Emails are so impersonal, trying to reason with a company several states away about your needs is challenging. IT PAYS TO TELL THE TRUTH. Crook Busters cares about it customers PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE. Mr. GARY and his Company, CROOK BUSTERS, displays a genuine quality that the others have LONG-AGO LOST. Kindness and compassion for the customers needs. Mr. GARY I am in your debt. Your stun gun will put my mind at ease.
Thanks,
Terry D Vann
We at Crook Busters felt a definite need for this gentleman in our heart. Does that mean we will send a device to every one that asks? Of course we are not able to do that. It would be fantastic if Crook Busters could do this, I personally would not object. The budget might though, as I am sure you folks can understand that. Please check us out at:

We would greatly appreciate your business.

It’s Dec 25 and just thought I would say thank you for those of you who willingly helped me and my family. To that few I wish you happiness in this coming year of 2010. All others you get the same wish, but I invite you to get to know me at the Crookbusters blog. Since I can not work or do much due to ALS. In the coming months I will share with you my 35 ANTI-CRIME reports that will keep you safe if you use them. Dinner is on so I will catch up with all of you in 2010. Hello again, I wish I had posted this before the holidays, its about simple things you should do before your vacation. One of the times your home is most vulnerable is when it is left empty for an extended period of time. Are you inviting a burglar? Darkened windows, mail or news papers collecting, all advertise your absence to a potential burglar. The best protection for your home or apartment is to have a house sitter A friend you can trust to stay at your home, also to care for our pets and water inside plants. Have a neighbor check your home. Buy a timer that will turn lamps, television and radios off and on. This will give the appearance of some one home.
Remember the absence of sound and lighting is inviting to a burglar.
It is also important that your home sitter knows how to work your alarm system and who to contact in case of a problem. If you can stop all news papers, or mail from building up outside. Your house sitter should bring them in or keep them for you. Its just a few things you can do to NOT tell a burglar, hey look I’m not home come on in and help yourself . You need to spend a little now in order to save a lot.

I too have a disability. Not the same as yours but will soon have to be away from my home and most of my friends know that I am not home, but none are able to be house sitters. I soon will be on many treatments for kidney disease. I will be placed on the donor list. That is my prognosis. At this time I am at home or home bound as some might call it. Have transportation but cannot travel. I do have more alternative means that I do not wish to expose over the internet, but I am able to use my hands to enforce who comes into my home at this time. I believe that you mentioned this means in your email to this website. But, at some time I may not be able to exercise these means to protect myself, home and rights. I have law enforcement & corrections training to fall back on. My State does not support many forms of protection that I am trained in, but I will use what has to be used if a time ever presented itself. My thoughts are with you and your family now and for time to come. My God bless you and protect you . Sincerely in Florida, K
